Antoine Islegen-Wojdyla is the lead optical scientist for the new insertion device of the Advanced Light Source Upgrade. He designed seven branches and participated in the procurement of the opto-mechanical components.
The Dream beam project contributes by simulating beamlines using data from the optics as they are measured, maturing the controls in preparation for the upgrade (the facility is upgrading to the EPICS/bluesky stack) and helping with commissioning planning.

Antoine Islegen-Wojdyla used to work for the Center for X-Ray Optics, and he's still involved in developing EUV mask imaging for EUV lithography, which is the new generation of how microchips are made.

We have designed the second branch of the ALS 2.0.1 (GEMINI.) The second branch is based on the use of a diamond beam splitter, to double the throughput of the beamline.
