We are using the ALS beamline 5.3.1 to develop a good portion of our. This beamline is a R&D beamline without a user program.
It is a bend magnet beamline that spans the 2.1–12 keV photon energy range, with experiments happening in a hutch.
The beamline layout is quite simple, with a toroidal mirror and a double-crystal monochromator.
The beamline supports three main project:
the blukesky pilot for the Advanced Light Source
ALS 5.3.1.1 Tender SAXS branch
ALS 5.3.1.2 Fast XAS branch
