Description: The talk will cover two complementary threads in high-precision X-ray mirror development and metrology. The first part will cover the XDS - ALS AXO mirror project, its development from the JTEC system and high-performance third-party metrology results. The second part will be an overview of XDS Oxford capabilities in the wider synchrotron and FEL instrumentation product lines, with particular focus on those  supplies to 4th generation synchrotrons in particular

Speaker biography: Elliot Jane has been with XDS Oxford for thirteen years, progressing through roles as Mechanical Engineer, Project Engineer, and Technical Project Lead to his current position as Development Manager. Over the course of his career, he has served as technical lead for complete beamlines, mirror systems, crystal and multilayer monochromators, and a range of other beamline instrumentation. He specialises in mirror systems, with particular expertise in mirror benders, and has played a central role in the JTEC–ALS–XDS deformable bimorph mirror development programme, as well as ongoing projects undertaken in partnership with the Advanced Light Source.
