Ptychography is a coherent diffractive imaging (CDI) technique that enables ultra-high resolution imaging without focusing lenses, widely used in x-ray optics to reconstruct images of objects with very resolution and quantitative phase information. It works by stitching together the redundant information of many diffraction patterns created by mechanically translating the sample.
Conventional ptychography is slow, and we are developpign a new technique called differential wavefront ptychography, which uses a deformable mirror to create phase diversity and would taked advantage of the coherent beam provided by the upgraded light source and leverage x-ray adaptive optics.
This techniques shares commonalities with randomized probe imaging, and we are developping simulations and visible light optics prototyping.
