We are developping automated beamline alignment at the Advanced Light Source, collaborating with NSLS-II and APS on the Beamline Optimization Package (blop.) Blop which is based on the the bluesky data collection framework (an instrumentation control standard among US light source) and uses bayesian optimization to achieve optimal beamline performance.
We have demonstrated its use at ALS beamline 5.3.1, and we are bringing new capabilities such as:
